Todor N. Mijanovich, PhD

Research Associate Professor, NYU Steinhardt

Dr. Mijanovich is a program evaluator and health policy researcher who studies the effects of policies and programs that serve disadvantaged populations. Before coming to NYU, he was a senior research associate at MDRC, where he evaluated earning subsidy programs for long-term welfare recipients. Over the last ten years, Mijanovich has studied health care utilization in low-income populations, the health and social impacts of comprehensive community initiatives, and is currently working on evaluations of food policies, homeless services, new models of primary care delivery, and care management for chronically ill Medicaid recipients. His methodological interests include predictive modeling of medical costs and hospitalizations, medical risk adjustment, and developing measures of health care quality.
